“As you know, I recently sent an email to you about how
I went from being the poster child for an unhealthy
lifestyle to Becoming a Thin and Fit Person without
resorting to a fad diet or starving myself. I did this
over 3 years ago and as you can see from the picture
above, the results were remarkable.
If I hadn’t met Larry Jacobs and followed his Thin

for a fact that I wouldn’t be here today.
You see, just about 3 years ago, I was lying in a
bed in my local hospital getting prepped for an
emergency double bypass operation that was scheduled
for the next morning.
While I was in Hilton Head the week before, watching
my son DJ play in the Heritage Classic, I had received
a call from my doctor back home. He told me that my test
results had just come back showing that I had a lower left
ventricle blockage that cardiac surgeons call “The Widow Maker”.
My doctor said there was no time to lose and scheduled
surgery as soon as I returned home.
In some respects, I was a ticking time bomb. If I suffered
a heart attack with this kind of blockage present, I
would most likely not survive.
So as I lay there in my hospital bed, I was filled with apprehension about the
surgery and what lay ahead for me during my recovery period.
Needless to say, the surgery was a success and my
recovery period was surprisingly short. Within
three months, I was hitting balls and a short while
later I resumed my normal schedule.
And the next year, I hosted the 2011 Swing Surgeon
Spring Golf Tournament, worked with DJ in a practice
round and then walked 18 holes a day at the 2011
Heritage and felt absolutely great all week.
I’m now 63 years old and I have more energy and
stamina than I had when I was in my forties.
Being an inquisitive kind of guy, I asked my cardiologist
why my recovery went better than expected. He told me
that, without a doubt, the fact that I was fit and at
my optimum weight before the surgery played a big role in it.
Many of you know that I got back into good shape using

Where’s the Fat?
The location of your fat can make a difference to your health.
There are some exceptions, but generally, it’s the
abdominal fat that’s of most concern and
metabolically riskier. When fat settles around the
waist, risk of coronary artery disease and type 2 diabetes
