Every now and then someone questions me on my weight loss philosophy and strategies.
The most frequent challengers are the so-called “high protein — low carb” advocates. After all, you can TEMPORARILY lose a little weight on those diets and some are quite happy because they get to eat lots of burgers, pork, bacon, butter etc.
A few Big Problems though…
Of course, you may not like the putrid breath, chronic tiredness, weakness, insomnia, constipation and “male morning sickness” (i.e. nausea) that often comes with your body entering into a state of “ketosis.”
You may not like the increased risk of heart and blood vessel disease, either.
I could go on and on but I won’t.
Bottom Line:
TEMPORARILY losing weight on ANY DIET is a bankrupt strategy.
In fact, I can clear up the Low Carb confusion in 2 sentences.
- The only low carb advice I ever advocate is to avoid Simple Carbs.
- Which means avoid white flour, white sugar, white rice, white pastas, etc. and substitute whole grain COMPLEX Carbs, instead.
That’s sounds easy, right?
Listen, losing weight my Thin for Life way is not a high tech event. Unless you consider a knife a fork, a pair of sneakers, a good coach, a proven blueprint and a “secret sauce” plan that works, high tech. It does not have to be hard.
Once you know what to do (and I assure you, it’s NOT what you think) it’s pretty simple when you have ALL the RIGHT stuff like you get from me.
But if you go chasing the latest weight loss fads I can pretty much guarantee you will wind up with more body fat and more weight, period.
To see how even golfers who thought they were “lost causes” (like NBC golf announcer Roger Maltbie, Don Trahan and Allen Doyle) lost all their weight without starving themselves, counting calories or wasting time on fads and gimmicks…http://thin247.com
This is the exact same program used by Tour players, PGA pros and other golfers who need to safely and quickly get in shape fast.
Here’s the Proof:
- Roger Maltbie lost over 30 pounds in 7 weeks and an article about it appeared in Golf Week Magazine (Dec, 12, 2009)
- Allen Doyle lost 25 pounds in 8 weeks (he had to change is shoe size to a smaller size-since even his feet got smaller)
- Todd Graves (Master Golf Instructor) lost 20 pounds (now weighs 160) and didn’t look like he needed to lose any weight in the first place.
- Don Trahan (DJ’s dad) age 60, now weighs just 2 or 3 pounds more than what he weighed in college 40 years ago. He now fits into a suit he hasn’t worn in 17 years. And yes, his shoes are too roomy and his original Wedding ring and College ring now fit too.
There’s a Dramatic before and after Picture of Don at http://thin247.com
- I even gave Fred Funk some great “game day how to eat for golf competion” advise just after he qualified for the 2009 US Open at Bethpage.
And finally, the Thin for Life Program worked for all the above {and will work for you too} without starvation, counting calories, or giving up food.
